Glenn Davidson joins Evolution Media Group as Chief Technology Officer. In a career spanning over 27 years, Mr. Davidson specialized in large-scale, full-lifecycle software development projects. Acting as both chief architect and project manager, he has a long history of delivering large complex systems on time and on budget. He studied software engineering and established industry standards and procedures for both large and small firms.
He has extensive experience with startup software companies, having spent fifteen years with American Data Services. From the very beginning, he managed all technical aspects for the company. For example, he designed and implemented domestic and international mutual fund and shareholder accounting systems that were ultimately used by over 45 fund groups and used internally as a service bureau. While at TIAA-CREF, he was the project manager and lead architect of the Java-based trading system reengineering. In this role, he was able to put industry standard software development lifecycle processes and procedures in place that dramatically improved project deliverables.
While at the Bank of New York, he was again the project manager and chief architect in the reengineering of a performance analytics system using .NET, and worked closely with the corporate SDLC department to implement software processes and procedures. As an architect, he delivered multiple systems based on a multi-tiered Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) paradigm. As a project manager, he follows the Project Management Institute (PMI) model. Mr. Davidson did his undergraduate work at SUNY Stony Brook in Computer Science and Mathematics and holds a Master's Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University.
